    I got some ‘breaking news’ for you. The beis din is not a puppet of the Vaad. The Vaad does not control the Beis Din.

    The past year there was a Din Torah (zabl”o) to clear up outstanding issues and elect a 3rd rov. Past that, the Vaad needs to listen to the (majority opinion of the) Beis Din – not vice versa.

    Zaki you just don't get it. There is no Beis Din unless the three sit together. You can't have 2 that don't talk with 1 and call it a Beis Din.

    I believe it's 1 who doesn't talk with 2. At the Siyum Harambam, and almost every Shabbos you can see 1 or 2 greeting the other while being ignored... very unfortunate...
